Tigers Down Bruins 5-2

December 8th, 2007

The Medicine Hat Tigers snapped a three game losing streak by taking out the Chilliwack Bruins by a 5-2 score Saturday night in Chilliwack.  After a scoreless first period, Medicine Hat scored twice in the second to grab the lead and never looked back.  The Tigers had two goals each from Travis Dunstall and Sean Ringrose, with both players finishing off with three points apiece.  Daine Todd opened the scoring for the Tigers, who improve to 4-7-3 on the road this season

Brandon Campos was the only Bruin to beat Tiger’s goalie Ryan Holfeld, as he scored twice, including a shorthanded marker in the third to make things interesting.  Matt Esposito takes the loss for the Bruins as they see their 4 game win streak halted.

Chilliwack was 0/5 on the power play, Medicine Hat was 1/5. The Tigers outshot the Bruins 36-31. Ryan Holfeld earned the victory in goal for the Tigers.

The Bruins next action is Sunday when they take on the Seattle Thunderbirds in Seattle. Game time is 5pm.
