Alex Rodgers scored twice and Justin Leclerc made 26 saves as the Kamloops Blazers (3-2-0-0) upended the Chilliwack Bruins (5-2-0-0) by a score of 4-2 Saturday night in Chilliwack.

Despite being outshot 12-5, the Blazers scored the only goal of the first period when Victor Bartley one handed a centering pass from Tyler Shattock past Matt Esposito at the 15:22 mark.

Kamloops built there lead to 3-0 in the second period on goals by Rodgers and Juuso Puustinen. Puustinen's goal was a powerplay marker. Oscar Moller, with his second of the season with just over three minutes left in the middle frame gave the Bruins some momentum heading into the final period.

Just 13 seconds into period three, it was Rodgers with his second of the night giving the Blazers a 4-1 lead. Jadon Potter's powerplay goal at the 4:15 mark got the Bruins as close as they would get.

Chilliwack was 1/7 with the man advantage, Kamloops went 1/5. The Blazers outshot the Bruins 30-28.

Ice Chips: Mark Santorelli's point streak now stands at seven games. Santorelli picked up an assist on Oscar Moller's second period goal...Ryan Howse was injured one minute into the game and did not return...Goaltender Matt Esposito has started all seven games for the Bruins this season...Colby Kulhanek has been named the Bruins player of the month for September...The Bruins return to action Monday afternoon when they host the Spokane Chiefs. Game time is 2pm.
