111 WHL Players Invited to NHL Training Camps

CALGARY, AB – The Western Hockey League is proud to announce that 111 players will attend National Hockey League training camps in September 2007.

Of the 111 players set to attend NHL camp, 80 were selected in the NHL draft.  Additionally, 31 players have been invited to NHL camps as free agent.

25 of the 111 WHL players heading to NHL training camps are already signed to NHL contracts.

The Vancouver Giants and Calgary Hitmen will each see 11 of their players attend NHL camps, which is the most of any team in the WHL.
