Raiders 5 Bruins 3

Ryan McDonald scored two goals as the Prince Albert Raiders defeated the visiting Chilliwack Bruins 5-3 Saturday night. For the second consectuive night the Bruins (26-28-4-4) lost a game in which they held a 3-1 lead. Chilliwack remains in seventh place in the Western Conference.

Chilliwack held period leads of 2-0 and 3-2. Mark Santorelli with his 24th, Liam Darragh (2nd) and Oscar Moller (33rd) scored for the Bruins. Prince Albert was led offensively by Justin Bernhardt and Matt Robertson who each picked up a goal and two assists. Bryce Lamb and Ryan McDonald also scored for Raiders who improved their record to 23-35-3-2.

Matt Esposito made 19 saves in a losing effort. Steven Stanford stopped 33 to earn the win for the Raiders.

Chilliwack was 1/5 on the power play, Prince Albert went 2/3.

The next game for the Bruins is Tuesday night in Moose Jaw. Game time is 5pm pacific time.
