Mike Proudley's shorthanded breakaway goal in the second period tied the game at two - Bob Frid photo

The Tri City Americans used two goals in the third period to come from behind and defeat the Chilliwack Bruins 4-3.

This game was a roller coaster ride throughout, with the lead changing hands on four different occasions.

Mark Santorelli opened the scoring for the Bruins, lifting a tight shot under the crossbar on the power play for the only goal of the first period.

The Americans and Bruins each scored two goals in the second period.  The Americans scored the first two goals as Taylor Procyshen on the power play and Johnny Lazo scored to give the Americans their first lead of the night.  The Bruins answered back with two of their own before the period ended.  Mike Proudley short handed and Nick Holden on a 5 on 3 power play restored Chilliwack’s one goal lead at 3-2.  In the third period, the Americans fought back with a goal at the midway mark of the period, Adam Hughesman converting a slap pass from Joel Broda to knot the game at three.

Then, at the 16:57 of period three, Broda scooped a loose puck past goalie Matt Esposito of the Bruins and gave the Americans their third come from behind road victory of the weekend.

Goaltender Chet Pickard picks up the victory, his second of the season for the Ams.  The Bruins’ Matt Esposito drops his first game of the season and sees his record fall to two wins and one loss.
