Bruins down Hawks 4-3

Mike Proudley scored twice and added an assist as the Bruins staged a third period comeback to down the Portland Winter Hawks in Portland Sunday night. With the win, the Bruins (9-3-1-0) are now just one point back of the BC Division leading Vancouver Giants.

The Bruins scored the only goal of the first period at the 4:02 mark when Mike Proudley notched his third goal of the season. The Bruins outshot the Hawks 12-4 through the first twenty minutes.

Goals by Colton Sceviour and Matt Betkar in the first six minutes of the second period gave the Hawks a 2-1 lead. The Bruins tied things up when Oscar Moller scored his 10th of the season and 7th in the last three games at 7:02. Tyler Swystun's powerplay goal with just over five minutes remaining gave Portland a 3-2 lead after two periods.

Chilliwack got two quick goals early in the third to take a 4-3 lead. Proudley with his second of the game tied things up at 1:57 before Colby Kulhanek found the back of the net just over a minute later.

Final score 4-3 Chilliwack.
