Prince George 5 Chilliwack 3

The Prince George Cougars (6-8-0-0) got two goals from Alex Poulter and Greg Gardner added three assists in a 5-3 victory over the visiting Chilliwack Bruins (9-4-1-0) Friday night. Oscar Moller scored twice for the Bruins in a losing cause and has now scored nine goals in his last four games.

Jesse Dudas, Colin Haas and Dana Tyrell also scored for the Cougars. Brandon Campos was the other goal scorer for the Bruins.

Prince George scored three times on six opportunities with the man advantage. Chilliwack's powerplay went 2/6.

Bruins goaltender Matt Esposito stopped 26 of the 30 shots he faced and sees his record drop to 9-4 on the season. Real Cyr made 27 saves for the Cougars to earn the victory.


The two teams meet again Saturday night in Prince George.

Ice Chips: Bruins goaltender Matt Esposito earned his second assist of the season on Brandon Campos' first period goal...Oscar Moller has now scored in four consecutive games, a new Bruins record. Moller has nine goals during the streak...Mark Santorelli picked up two assists. Santorelli leads the league in assists (19) and is tied with Regina's Jordan Eberle for the league lead in points (23).
