Moller to suit up for Sweden at World Juniors

December 4th, 2007

Oscar Moller, the Chilliwack Bruins Swedish scoring sensation, will suit up for Team Sweden at the world junior championship in Czech Republic at month's end.

Moller confirmed Tuesday that he had received official word of his selection (there is no evaluation camp) and he expects to depart Vancouver sometime around Dec. 17.

The Bruins play back-to-back games against Vancouver on the 14th and 15th and are then off until Dec. 28. Chilliwack has five games between Dec. 28 and Jan. 5.

Moller is currently third in WHL scoring with 45 points in 31 games. His 25 goals are tied for the best total with Spokane's Drayson Bowman.

Sweden, playing on home soil, placed fourth at last year's world juniors. Moller was not on that squad. He has played for his country on a few occasions, however, including the under-18 world championships in 2007.

Sweden plays Canada on TSN December 29th, 10:30am Pacific time.
